API Team

What does API stand for?

In literal terms in the computer industry, API is the commonly used acronym for “application program interface”.  Its meaning from www.whatis.com is as follows:

“An application program interface (API – and sometimes spelled application programming interface) is the specific method prescribed by a computer operating system or by an application program by which a programmer writing an application program can make requests of the operating system or another application.”

In other words, an API is sort of a go-between or tool by which a programmer can accomplish his task, without having specific knowledge on the way a computer works.

In a sense, this is what API Technology wants to be for your business.  Our API means “A Partner In” Technology. What we can do for your business, is be your partner, and go-between, for all of your technology hurdles.

It may be a sort of play on words, or in this case play on letters, but it’s not much of a stretch in imagination.  The next time your company faces a challenge, and you are sure the technology exists to help you reach that goal, but aren’t sure exactly what direction to turn, let us be your API.
