Derek has joined the API team with over twenty years of IT experience.
After graduating from Thomas College in 2003 with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s in Science (MSTSE), Derek has spent his entire career in Accounting and IT. He has attained several industry certifications such as A+, Net+, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Sophos Certified Engineer and Architect among others.
Derek has worked extensively in the education and healthcare industries and is familiar with maintaining systems to meet industry regulations such as HIPAA and FERPA. Most recently, Derek was employed as a Systems Analyst and .Net programmer. This included VMWare and software support as well as application development and troubleshooting.
Derek currently lives in Fairfield with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family and restoring old buildings.
